Rushnyk of Unity — Rushnyk of Victory: international launch

Presentation of the collective 'Victory Rushnyk' at Oleviste Church on 1 Oct 2024, with panels sent from Estonia, Latvia, Norway, Germany, Poland, Portugal, France, the Netherlands, Cyprus and Ukraine. The US ambassador George Kent spoke there.

What the sources say

Ukrainian women and children living in Estonia, Latvia, Norway, Germany, Poland, Portugal, France, the Netherlands, Cyprus, and across Ukraine embroidered individual panels. These pieces, including contributions from Kropyvnytskyi, Krolevechchyna, and the Kherson region, were combined to create the single collective Rushnyk of Victory.

The organizers, including the Tallinn Bible Church, the Kirovohrad Regional Taxpayers Organization, the NGO “Shchaslyva Natsiia”, and the Association of Ukrainian Organizations in Estonia, presented the completed work on October 1, 2024. The event took place at Oleviste Church in Tallinn to mark the Day of Defenders of Ukraine.

The presentation featured speeches, including remarks by United States Ambassador George Kent, as well as performances by professional Estonian and Ukrainian artists. During the gathering, attendees contributed to a fundraiser organized by the Association of Ukrainian Organizations in Estonia to repair an evacuation vehicle for the Azov regiment.
