UAFest 2026 has taken place, and UAFest 2027 is on the way. Here is what the festival is, when the next one happens, and how to take part.

Visiting the Festival
UAFest 2027 is happening. The date and the venue are being settled now. Join the waiting list at uafest.ca/2027 and you will hear them before the public announcement.
Very much so. The festival day has a dedicated kids' zone, family activities and workshops from start to finish.
Yes — UAFest is a gathering point for families, newcomers, volunteers, local residents and friends of Ukraine, and a free day of food, music, dance and craft for the whole community, Ukrainian and Canadian alike. Everyone is welcome — bienvenue à toutes et à tous.
Yes — the Ukrainian Cuisine zone serves borscht, varenyky, sausage and sweets from Ukrainian kitchens (plus the varenyky-eating contest), and the Ukrainian Tavern offers a cozy space for traditional food, drinks and hospitality.
Yes — the Kids' Zone has games, crafts and entertainment for the youngest guests, plus family activities and workshops through the day.
Free — general admission is free for everyone. Food, drinks and market items are sold separately by individual vendors.
UAFest 2026 took place at Riverside Park, Lake Ave W, Carleton Place, ON. The venue for 2027 is being settled, and the waiting list at uafest.ca/2027 hears it first.
In 2026 parking was free along Lake Ave W, on both sides of the entrance arch at Riverside Park. Parking for 2027 is announced together with the venue.
In 2026, guests without a car rode from Ottawa as passengers in the Unity Ride & Drive convoy. For 2027, join the waiting list and tick “Drive in the Unity Ride”: the route and the meeting point go to the list first. Drivers and passengers are matched once the date and the venue are set. Coming by car? Riverside Park in Carleton Place, where UAFest 2026 took place, is about a 45-minute drive west of downtown Ottawa.
UAFest goes ahead in any weather. If rain is in the forecast, bring a raincoat or an umbrella.
Yes, dogs on a leash are welcome. Please clean up after them.
Getting Involved
Yes — the market row puts your products, food or services in front of thousands of festival guests. The vendor call for 2027 goes to the waiting list first: join it on our Vendors page.
Yes — UAFest runs entirely on volunteer energy. Our Volunteer page lists the kinds of roles on a festival day; join the 2027 waiting list there and the volunteer call reaches you first.
Yes — sponsor packages for 2027 go out before the season starts. Join the waiting list on our Sponsors page and the team sends you the packages and pricing first.
Musicians, dancers, choirs, workshop leaders and more can join the 2027 waiting list on our Performers page. Describe your act in the note, and the call for performers reaches you first.
