Rushnyk of Unity of the Ukrainian community of Hungary
9.5 m block-printed cloth made by Ukrainians, Hungarians and friends; presented 23 Sep 2025 and registered as a Ukrainian record. Same name, unrelated project.
This is a separate initiative with its own organizers. The travelling Rushnyk of Unity — Rushnyk of Victory, shown in Carleton Place in 2026, is another project.
What the sources say
The "Rushnyk of Unity" is a 9.5-meter cloth created in Budapest, Hungary, using the traditional Ukrainian technique of block printing. The project was initiated by the Ukrainian association «Єдність», artist Khrystyna Blahodir, and the Embassy of Ukraine in Hungary. Dozens of Ukrainians, Hungarians, and friends of Ukraine applied the prints during celebrations of Ukraine's State Flag Day and Independence Day.
On September 23, 2025, the completed cloth was officially registered as a Ukrainian record. Hanna Krysiuk, general director of the Book of World Records of Ukraine, presented the award at a ceremony. The event received support from the public union «Світове Українство» and Business Woman magazine. Fedir Shandor, Ambassador of Ukraine to Hungary, and Zoltan Horvat, Honorary Consul, attended the presentation.
