What the sources say
On April 13, 2025, in Chernihiv, Ukraine, workers from Chernihiv Bakery No. 2, directed by Olha Zaika, and the NGO "Women of the Motherland of Chernihivshchyna", headed by Liudmyla Shandarenko, created a rushnyk from Easter breads. The bakery staff spent six hours baking the breads to form a blue-and-yellow pattern.
Hanna Krysiuk, general director of the Book of World Records, verified the installation as a Ukrainian record in the "Sizes" category. Inspired by similar displays in Odesa and Lviv, the completed bread rushnyk measured 13.8 meters long and 2.1 meters wide, comprising 1,470 paska breads.
Following the measurement, all the Easter breads were purchased and distributed to mothers of fallen soldiers and people from social categories. Volunteers also transported the baked goods to rehabilitation centers and to military personnel serving on the front lines.
