What the sources say
"Create for Ukraine" and "KX Embroidery" hosted the Spil'no Embroidery Masterclass on April 27, 2024. The workshop took place at Space2B in St Kilda, Victoria, Australia. Participants paid an 85-dollar fee to attend the two-hour session. Proceeds from the event supported KHARPP, a charity that repairs homes in de-occupied towns and villages in eastern Ukraine.
Ksenia from KX Embroidery guided attendees in creating an embroidered motif from scratch. The design featured a mid-century pattern from eastern Podillia. It depicted figures from a wedding rushnyk joined in a circular dance. The participants used kachalochka, a rolling satin stitch technique, to craft the piece.
